Haemo – Laser Therapy

Haemo-Laser Therapy, also known as intravenous laser blood irradiation, is a procedure where low-level laser light is applied to the blood. This therapy is said to have various therapeutic effects, including enhancing oxygen delivery, improving circulation, boosting the immune system, and reducing inflammation.

Soon after the development of the laser in the 1960s, its potential for improving wound healing, relieving pain and reducing inflammation was recognized. Since then, research and development have progressed so far that even renowned conventional medical centers are convinced and enthusiastic about its effectiveness.

How It Works:

  • Laser Application: A small catheter is inserted into a vein, and a low-power laser is applied directly to the blood flowing through the vein.

  • Wavelengths: The lasers typically used emit light in the red, blue, or green spectrum, with each color thought to have different effects on the body.

  • Mechanism of Action: The light is believed to stimulate cellular functions, enhance enzyme activity, and improve the function of blood cells.

Benefits

1. Improved Blood Flow:

Enhances microcirculation and oxygen delivery to tissues.

2. Detoxification:

Aids in the removal of toxins from the blood.

3. Immune System Boost:

Stimulates immune responses, potentially helping the body fight infections and inflammation.

4. Pain Relief:

Used in managing chronic pain and inflammatory conditions.

Safety and Side Effects:

  • Minimal Invasiveness: The procedure is generally considered safe, with minimal side effects, such as slight discomfort at the injection site.

  • Considerations: As with any medical procedure, it should be performed by a qualified healthcare provider.

This form of therapy is even newer than surface laser treatment, but numerous studies have already been carried out by international research groups that confirm the positive effects.
